Emaki: turn images into narrated videos
Emaki turns a set of images, such as slides, screenshots or photos, into an MP4 video. You can add a spoken narration for each image in English or an Indian language. The video is made in your browser, so your images are never uploaded.
Who Emaki is for
Teachers and tutors
Turn lesson slides into a short video that students can watch again at home, with your explanation spoken over each slide, in the language your class understands best.
Trainers and support teams
Make how-to videos from screenshots of software. Emaki's animated cursor points to the button or menu you are talking about on each screen.
Creators and small businesses
Make vertical videos for Reels, Shorts and WhatsApp status from product photos, menus or offers, without editing software.
How to make a video, step by step
- Add your images. Click Select images, or drag images or a whole folder onto the page. Images play in file-name order (0–9, then A–Z), so naming files
01.png,02.pngand so on keeps them in the order you want. - Write the narration (optional). Type what should be spoken on each slide. Leave a slide empty to keep it silent. You can also paste a whole script at once. Your text is saved only on your device.
- Choose a video size. Landscape 720p or 1080p for YouTube and presentations, square for feeds, or vertical (1080 × 1920) for Reels, Shorts and status.
- Choose how images fit. Show whole image keeps everything visible on a blurred background, which suits screenshots. Fill the frame crops the edges, which suits photos.
- Set the style. Pick a motion (zoom in, zoom out, pan, or a mix), a transition (crossfade or cut) and how many seconds each image shows. For narrated slides, each slide lasts as long as its narration.
- Add cursor points (with credits). On any slide, use Set cursor point and tap where the cursor should go. In the video, the cursor moves there from the centre.
- Make the video. Choose the free export or an export with credits. Emaki shows the exact credits needed and asks you to confirm before anything is used. The finished MP4 downloads to your device.
Free and paid options
Silent videos are free and unlimited. They carry an Emaki watermark and QR code. Credits remove the watermark, add the animated cursor, and add AI narration.
| Pack | Price in India | Outside India | Credits | Roughly |

| Free | ₹0 | Free | — | Unlimited silent videos with watermark |
| Try | ₹49 | $1.00 | 10 | 1 narrated video |
| Starter | ₹139 | $2.99 | 30 | 3 videos |
| Popular | ₹399 | $7.99 | 100 | 10 videos |
| Best value | ₹999 | $19.99 | 300 | 30 videos |
“Roughly” assumes an 8-slide video with the Standard voice. Indian prices include GST. Current prices are always on the Emaki plans page.
How credits are counted
- Each export with credits: 2 credits per video (this removes the watermark and adds the cursor).
- Each narrated slide with the Standard voice: 1 credit. With the HD voice: 2 credits.
- A narrated slide covers up to 80 words. Every further 80 words on the same slide counts as one more slide.
- Silent slides inside a credit video cost nothing extra.
Example: a 10-slide video with the Standard voice on every slide uses 2 + 10 = 12 credits. The same video with the HD voice uses 2 + 20 = 22 credits.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Emaki builds the video inside your browser, on your own phone or computer. Your images stay on your device.
For narration, only the text you type is sent, to create the voice audio. It is used for that and is not saved anywhere with us. Your script itself is kept only on your device.
Which languages can the narration speak?
English and several Indian languages. Choose a voice in the Narration voice setting and use Sample to hear it before you spend credits. Write the narration in the script of the language you choose for the most natural result.
What is the difference between the Standard and HD voice?
The Standard voice is clear and natural, lets you change the speed, and costs 1 credit per slide. The HD voice is the most natural and expressive, and costs 2 credits per slide. Standard suits tutorials and explainers; HD suits presentations and polished videos.
Do I need an account?
Not for free silent videos. You need an account to buy and use credits, because credits and narration are tied to your account.
How long are credits valid?
Bought credits are valid for 90 days from the date of purchase. Each pack runs from its own purchase date, and the credits that expire soonest are used first. For the same 90 days, Emaki shows you no ads. Unused credits are not refunded when they expire.
What if making the video fails after I used credits?
Make it again within 30 days with the same narration and voice, and you will not be charged again. If you change some slides, only the changed slides use credits.
How do I put slides in the right order?
Emaki orders images by file name. Rename the files with numbers at the start, such as 01-title.png, 02-intro.png, so they sort correctly. When you export slides from PowerPoint or Google Slides as images, they are usually numbered in order already.
Can I turn a PowerPoint or PDF into a video?
Yes, in two steps. First export the slides or pages as images (PNG or JPG). PowerPoint, Keynote and Google Slides all have an export-as-images option, and many PDF readers can save pages as images. Then add those images to Emaki and write the narration for each one.
Which video size should I choose?
- Landscape 1080p: YouTube, websites, presentations, online classes.
- Landscape 720p: smaller files for slow connections or quick sharing.
- Square: Instagram and Facebook feeds.
- Vertical 1080 × 1920: Reels, YouTube Shorts and WhatsApp status.
How do I make the video file smaller?
Under More options, set Quality to Smaller file, use 24 or 30 fps rather than 60, and choose 720p if full HD is not needed. Screenshots with lots of text look best with Sharper text.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Open emaki.dzealai.com in your phone's browser, tap Select images, pick your images, then tap Add or Done. Long, high-resolution videos are made faster on a computer.
Is there anything I am not allowed to make?
Yes. Emaki may not be used for defamatory, abusive, hateful or obscene content, content targeting political parties, leaders or public officials, nudity, or morphed images of real people. You must not present the AI voice as a real person's voice. Every video carries a hidden identifier, and users who break these rules are blocked. Read the full content rules.
Can I get a GST invoice?
Yes. Every purchase has an invoice you can view and save as a PDF from your Emaki account page. Indian businesses can add their GSTIN at checkout.
Tips for better videos
- Keep each slide's narration short. One or two sentences per slide (well under 80 words) keeps the pace lively and the credit cost low.
- Write for the ear. Short sentences and everyday words sound more natural than text written to be read.
- Spell out abbreviations the way they should be spoken, for example “G S T” rather than “GST” if the voice reads it as a word.
- Use “Show whole image” for screenshots so no menu or button is cut off.
- Preview a voice with Sample before you make the full video.
